Few thoughts:
Maybe instead of an enormous jumbotron, Tampa should invest in a playable ice surface
Stamkos' shot is just ridiculous
Another weak goal for Rask. Plus he seemed to be getting out of position far to often.
Marchand ain't snakebitten like Seguin
If the refs are gonna make that call on Chara at the end of the 2nd, they missed about 10 calls throughout the game on the Lightning
Too bad Horton couldn't get the hat trick, but he seems to be getting his feel for the game back
The third line was off the score sheet again. Knight or Caron has to be brought up in order to give Peverly and Kelly more space. Either that or move Peverly onto another line and not dress someone else other than Borque.
ReplyDeleteIs knight even healthy?

ReplyDeleteI think he is healthy now. I read his name in a boxscore not too long ago. Peverly is a goal scorer and right now his chances are few and far, so somehow he needs more space. If the B's management believes Borque is more of a goal scorer, the put Peverly on the fourth line. Right now the third line has little physicality or as some like to call it "sandpaper".
Guys I hate to say it but Jared Knight will never play a game in the bigs. He's barely an AHL player from what I've seen the last two years. Jordan Caron has had his chances and it's over for him as a Bruin. The farm has some good minor league players but for the most part it's not the answer. There will be some teams falling out of the race and some good players will be out there. I'm looking forward to what Pete has in store.

ReplyDeleteYou may be right, there may be a deal in the making. I do think that Chris Bourque is not what we need to get Peverly/Kelly going. If they do make a trade it has to be for someone good along the wall, that is the B's style of play.
