Habs at Bruins

Few Thoughts:

Still not sure about the Pacioretty goal...

Healthy scratch seemed to have invigorated Thornton

Subban has all the skill in the world but he still has a tendency to duck hits and pick his spots (namely against people under 5'8")

Chara needs to be better. He didn't play well while in there, and the 10+5+2 is nice to see, but his absence may well have led to those 2 goals

I really like Prust's game

Habs have certainly improved, but they are not in the same class as the Bruins

D was sloppy

I don't like to beat up on announcers (who am I kidding, I love doing it) but the NBCSN crew added absolutely nothing to the broadcast

Dougie has some set of hands

Speaks volumes about this team that I look at a 1 goal deficit as a minor inconvenience and not need for worry. This is a special team

Hit on Seguin looked like it mighta been a spear. Which woulda been 5+game

Most exciting game of the year

I can't wait for the games this season when the Bruins actually play to their skill level

  1. Feels good to see the Bruins lose on thug nonsense. Yeah, Emelin did crosscheck him in the ribs but you have to pick your spots. Donkey piling on a guy in the 3rd, giving up the game winning goal does indicate that something else should have been done. A win is a win.

  2. RD! Great to have you contribute! You're my favorite Habs fan.

  3. Emelin is one of the best hitters in the game and you've got to be aware of him. Breaking his stick on Seguin's ribs isn't really a hit though. I don't have a problem with Chara pounding him. It was called for. Rask has to be sharper after an easy save on that fourth goal. You've got to take advantage when Price isn't playing.

The Brave. You're right about Prust. He's a friend of the family and a stand up guy. The Rangers sure miss him.

When you're talking about "thug nonesense" remember "coward nonesense" as displayed by P.K. Subban. He expects Prust to fight his battles, unless its Marchand. If Chara or someone else wouldn't have stuck up for Seguin, I would have been disappointed. How can you can chirp about another team, when your "BOZO" Emmelin blindsides a player with crosscheck, is beyond me. As well, your player broke his stick on Seguin.
The one thing you did say that was correct is that a win is a win; now we'll just have to run off another 7 game winning streak against your squad.

P.S. Why didn't White want to play with Thornton? He seems to be pretty brave against some other clubs!
